Strategic Plan
The Alberta organized sport sector is a community that passionately believes in the value of sport to contribute to the health and well-being of all Albertans. We are in a unique position to lead the provincial sport sector and present a collective voice to represent and advocate for organized sport in Alberta.
This Strategic Plan presents an opportunity to chart a path forward over the next three years, building on our collective purpose and vision for sport in Alberta.

Mary Moran
CHAIR

Mary is a retired executive with a 40-year career spanning across the private sector and public service, primarily in the airline, telecommunications and economic development sectors. Mary was the CEO of the Calgary 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Bid. -
Gary Davies

CANADIAN SPORT INSTITUTE CALGARY
As President/CEO of Canadian Sport Institute Alberta, Gary leads a team of 70 sport science practitioners whose main goal is to ensure Alberta’s high-performance athletes reach the Olympic and Paralympic podium. -
Susan Eymann
LETHBRIDGE SPORT COUNCIL
As Executive Director of the Lethbridge Sport Council, Susan has five decades of experience as an athlete, coach, coach facilitator and evaluator, administrator, and volunteer. -
Lisa Hardy
SKATE CANADA: ALBERTA-NWT/NUN
Experienced leader in sport and non-profits, currently Executive Director of Skate AB|NT|NU. Skilled in governance, sponsorships, event management, and advocacy, with expertise in policy, strategic planning, and community engagement. -
Andrew Trevoy
LAWYER
Andy came to the Board as a long-time triathlete and runner, and from the Triathlon Alberta Board. Andy is a lawyer, business owner, mentor, not-for-profit board volunteer, and grandpa, not necessarily in that order. -
Jen Sales
WHEELCHAIR SPORTS
Jen holds a Bachelor of Physical Education (BPE) in Sport Management from the University of Alberta and has served as Executive Director of Wheelchair Sports Alberta since 2016. She is dedicated to strengthening the future of sport in Alberta. -
Diane Clarke
VOLLEYBALL ALBERTA ASSOCIATION
With decades of experience in the sport sector, Diane is Volleyball Alberta’s CEO. She has excelled as a multi-sport athlete, coach, sport scientist, and administrator, driving growth and development. -
Shawn Holman
SWIM ALBERTA
Shawn, ChPC, is serving his third term on the ASLA Board. As the Executive Director of Swim Alberta, he brings strategic expertise from leadership roles at Speed Skating Canada and the University of Calgary. -
Lyn Radford
Lyn resides in Red Deer, and known for championing creativity, community spirit, and excellence in sports. With a history of award-winning contributions to sport and active involvement on several boards, Lyn thrives in fostering connections, generating ideas, and exploring inspiring stories in their surroundings.

Scott Hayes
Scott is a seasoned Program Manager currently on a year-long secondment from the Ministry of Tourism and Sport. With over 20 years of experience in the sport sector, he is dedicated to fostering a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. In his free time, Scott enjoys exploring the outdoors and is an avid gardener, reflecting his passion for nature and community engagement.
